<p>I thought it would be fun to share our top 7 favorite recipes! Let us know if you try any and how you liked it!</p>

<h2>Korean Beef</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Korean-Beef-1024x683.jpg" alt="Korean Beef" class="wp-image-2336" srcset="https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Korean-Beef-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Korean-Beef-300x200.jpg 300w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Korean-Beef-768x512.jpg 768w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Korean-Beef-600x400.jpg 600w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Korean-Beef.jpg 1440w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>This is fast and easy to make, and it&#8217;s Peter&#8217;s favorite meal! It&#8217;s also our go-to meal when we have guests over. I got this recipe from my family, although they top it with shredded cabbage instead of peas.</p>

<h3>Ingredients</h3>

<ul><li>1 lb. lean ground beef</li><li>2 cloves garlic, minced</li><li>1 Tbsp. sesame oil</li><li>1/2 cup brown sugar</li><li>1/4 cup soy sauce (we use a soy sauce substitute called <a href="https://amzn.to/2BUK1Aw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">liquid aminos</a>)</li><li>salt and pepper, a few shakes</li><li>frozen peas, warmed</li><li>chedder cheese, shredded</li><li>rice, cooked</li></ul>

<h3>Directions</h3>

<ol><li>Sauté garlic in sesame oil over medium heat. Add ground beef, chop and cook until done.</li><li>Drain fat out and add brown sugar, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for a few minutes.</li><li>Serve over rice and top with peas and cheese. Enjoy!</li></ol>

<h2>Chipotle Style Bowls</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Chipotle-Style-Bowls-1024x683.jpg" alt="Chipotle Style Bowls" class="wp-image-2332" srcset="https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Chipotle-Style-Bowls-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Chipotle-Style-Bowls-300x200.jpg 300w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Chipotle-Style-Bowls-768x512.jpg 768w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Chipotle-Style-Bowls-600x400.jpg 600w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Chipotle-Style-Bowls.jpg 1440w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>We love going to Chipotle and sharing a bowl. It&#8217;s fast food, but it&#8217;s healthy fast food that doesn&#8217;t make you feel bad after eating it. We decided to make our own Chipotle bowls at home, and we make them quite often.</p>

<h3>Ingredients</h3>

<ul><li>chicken (chopped and cooked however you like)</li><li>rice, cooked</li><li>cheddar cheese, grated</li><li>canned sweet corn, heated</li><li>avocados, mashed</li><li>lettuce, shredded</li><li>sour cream (sour cream in a tube is one of the greatest inventions)</li></ul>

<h3>Directions</h3>

<ol><li>Layer in a bowl or on a plate and enjoy! Feel free to swap or add anything else you think would be tasty on it.</li></ol>

<h2>Honey Dijon Chicken</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Honey-Dijon-Chicken-1024x683.jpg" alt="Honey Dijon Chicken" class="wp-image-2335" srcset="https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Honey-Dijon-Chicken-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Honey-Dijon-Chicken-300x200.jpg 300w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Honey-Dijon-Chicken-768x512.jpg 768w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Honey-Dijon-Chicken-600x400.jpg 600w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Honey-Dijon-Chicken.jpg 1440w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>I found this recipe soon after we got married and it quickly became a favorite. I cut and freeze raw chicken every few weeks, so as long as I remember to pull some out of the freezer to defrost ahead of time, it makes this recipe quite quick to make!</p>

<h3>Ingredients</h3>

<ul><li>2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (we cut ours in cubes before cooking)</li><li>2 Tbsp. olive oil</li><li>2 Tbsp. butter, melted</li><li>2 Tbsp. honey</li><li>2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard</li><li>2 cloves garlic, minced</li><li>1 tsp. dried Italian seasoning</li><li>dash of salt and pepper</li></ul>

<h3>Directions</h3>

<ol><li>Cook chicken over medium heat until done. Dump on a plate and set aside.</li><li>In a measuring glass, mix together the oil, butter, honey, mustard, garlic, and seasonings. Pour in the pan from the chicken and simmer for a couple minutes. Turn off burner.</li><li>Stir in cooked chicken until it&#8217;s coated in the sauce. Enjoy! We like to eat this with roasted carrots and potatoes.</li></ol>

<h2>Fish Tacos</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Fish-Tacos-1024x683.jpg" alt="Fish Tacos" class="wp-image-2334" srcset="https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Fish-Tacos-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Fish-Tacos-300x200.jpg 300w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Fish-Tacos-768x512.jpg 768w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Fish-Tacos-600x400.jpg 600w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Fish-Tacos.jpg 1440w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>We&#8217;ve experimented with a few different types of tacos, and this is our favorite!</p>

<h3>Ingredients</h3>

<ul><li>corn tortillas, buttered and warmed</li><li>tilapia fillets (or any meat really)</li><li>butter, melted</li><li>lemon juice</li><li>salt</li><li>lemon pepper</li><li>cheddar cheese, grated</li><li>canned sweet corn</li><li>avocados, mashed</li><li>lettuce, shredded</li><li>sour cream</li><li>lime juice</li></ul>

<h3>Directions</h3>

<ol><li>Preheat oven to 425º.</li><li>Pour melted butter in a 9&#215;9 baking dish, then lay in the thawed tilapia.</li><li>Drizzle lemon juice over the fish, and sprinkle with salt and lemon pepper.</li><li>Bake until the fish temps hot enough, about 10-14 minutes.</li><li>Assemble your tacos and enjoy!</li></ol>

<h2>Bacon Avocado Toast</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Bacon-Avocado-Toast-1024x683.jpg" alt="Bacon Avocado Toast" class="wp-image-2330" srcset="https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Bacon-Avocado-Toast-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Bacon-Avocado-Toast-300x200.jpg 300w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Bacon-Avocado-Toast-768x512.jpg 768w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Bacon-Avocado-Toast-600x400.jpg 600w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Bacon-Avocado-Toast.jpg 1440w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>As you might be able to tell, we love avocados! If you can get avocados and bacon in the same bite, it&#8217;s gotta taste amazing!</p>

<h3>Ingredients</h3>

<ul><li>bread, lightly toasted</li><li>butter, softened</li><li>avocados, sliced</li><li>bacon, cooked</li><li>cheddar cheese, grated</li><li>salt and pepper</li></ul>

<h3>Directions</h3>

<ol><li>Butter your lightly toasted bread and lay on a cookie sheet.</li><li>Put sliced avocados on the buttered toast, and bacon on top of that.</li><li>Sprinkle on cheese, salt, and pepper, and broil in the oven until the cheese melts. Enjoy!</li></ol>

<h2>Bacon Wrapped Asparagus</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Bacon-Wrapped-Asparagus-1024x683.jpg" alt="Bacon Wrapped Asparagus" class="wp-image-2331" srcset="https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Bacon-Wrapped-Asparagus-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Bacon-Wrapped-Asparagus-300x200.jpg 300w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Bacon-Wrapped-Asparagus-768x512.jpg 768w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Bacon-Wrapped-Asparagus-600x400.jpg 600w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Bacon-Wrapped-Asparagus.jpg 1440w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>I&#8217;m not a huge fan of asparagus, but if it&#8217;s wrapped in bacon, it&#8217;s delicious! This would typically be considered a side dish, but we eat it as the main dish with some fruit on the side.</p>

<ul><li>asparagus (trim off the woody ends)</li><li>bacon</li><li>olive oil</li><li>salt and pepper</li><li>garlic powder</li></ul>

<h3>Directions</h3>

<ol><li>Preheat oven to 400º. Place an oven-safe cooling rack on a cookie sheet.</li><li>Brush asparagus with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.</li><li>Cut the bacon in half lengthwise. Wrap each bacon strip tightly around an asparagus stalk. Place seam side down onto the wire rack.</li><li>Bake until asparagus is tender and the bacon starts to crispen, about 15-20 minutes. If the bacon isn&#8217;t crisp enough, place under the broiler for a couple minutes. Enjoy!</li></ol>

<h2>Eggs &amp; Bacon Hash Browns</h2>

<figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img loading="lazy" width="1024" height="683" src="https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Eggs-Bacon-Hash-Browns-1024x683.jpg" alt="Eggs and Bacon Hash Browns" class="wp-image-2333" srcset="https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Eggs-Bacon-Hash-Browns-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Eggs-Bacon-Hash-Browns-300x200.jpg 300w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Eggs-Bacon-Hash-Browns-768x512.jpg 768w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Eggs-Bacon-Hash-Browns-600x400.jpg 600w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Eggs-Bacon-Hash-Browns.jpg 1440w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></figure>

<p>We make this pretty much every weekend! If I make extra, I turn it into breakfast burritos by putting it in tortillas, adding cheese, and wrapping in tin foil. You can just stick them in the freezer until you want one. To heat it up, you just remove the foil and microwave until hot!</p>

<h3>Ingredients</h3>

<ul><li>hash browns</li><li>eggs</li><li>bacon</li><li>butter</li><li>seasonings (we use salt, pepper, paprika, and onion and garlic powder)</li></ul>

<h3>Directions</h3>

<ol><li>Cut the bacon into bite-sized pieces and cook in a frying pan until slightly crisp.</li><li>Add a bit of butter and hash browns.</li><li>Sprinkle on seasonings.</li><li>When hash browns are hot, add in eggs and scramble. Enjoy!</li></ol>

<p>Neither of us are big bakers. But we were invited to a cookie social and there was a cookie competition. So naturally, we made cookies. We both might have a bit of a competitive side. <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/13.0.1/72x72/1f609.png" alt="😉" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> (And at times we can be a little sarcastic.)</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image"><img loading="lazy" width="1440" height="1800" src="http://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Cookie-Baking-and-Photo-Taking-2.jpg" alt="Cookie Baking and Photo Taking" class="wp-image-2128" srcset="https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Cookie-Baking-and-Photo-Taking-2.jpg 1440w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Cookie-Baking-and-Photo-Taking-2-240x300.jpg 240w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Cookie-Baking-and-Photo-Taking-2-768x960.jpg 768w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Cookie-Baking-and-Photo-Taking-2-819x1024.jpg 819w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Cookie-Baking-and-Photo-Taking-2-600x750.jpg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 1440px) 100vw, 1440px" /></figure>

<h2>Do Things Together</h2>

<p>It wasn’t the baking in and of itself that we enjoyed. Although we both try to make the most of every experience and opportunity we have in life, and try our best to choose to have fun in any situation. But rather, it was simply the fact that we were baking together. It was fun because we were together. It’s such a wonderful thing to simply enjoy being together and doing things together, no matter what the activity is.&nbsp;</p>

<p>When people ask us what we like doing together, we usually pause and think for a little bit because there isn&#8217;t really one main thing we enjoy doing together more than other things. We enjoy going places, but we also enjoy staying home. We enjoy making things together, but we also enjoy cleaning the house. Being together and doing things together is what we enjoy the most. I know it might sound cheesy or mushy, but it&#8217;s completely true.</p>

<figure class="wp-block-image"><img loading="lazy" width="1920" height="1280" src="http://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Cookie-Baking-and-Photo-Taking-3.jpg" alt="Cookie Baking and Photo Taking" class="wp-image-2129" srcset="https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Cookie-Baking-and-Photo-Taking-3.jpg 1920w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Cookie-Baking-and-Photo-Taking-3-300x200.jpg 300w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Cookie-Baking-and-Photo-Taking-3-768x512.jpg 768w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Cookie-Baking-and-Photo-Taking-3-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://hulce.life/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Cookie-Baking-and-Photo-Taking-3-600x400.jpg 600w" sizes="(max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px" /></figure>
